*Caregiver is to fill gloves with air (blowing it up) and draw little marks or faces on it to represent “germs” using a washable marker.
Fill a container the water and add soap.
Let your child play with hand gloves in the water and see how germs washes away when using soap and water.
Activity 2
Brushing teeth
Duration: 10-15 minutes
What to you need?
Tooth paste
Tooth brush
What to do:
* Caregiver to get toddler’s tooth paste and tooth brush out and ready to use
Now allow your child to brush their teeth on his/her own. (You are probably still mostly assisting them with this task)
Talk to your child about brushing away the germs and cleaning their teeth sparkly clean.

Activity 3
Mathematics marshmallow teeth counting
Duration: 5-10 minutes
What we need?
White mini marshmallows or cotton wool balls (parents to break up and form small balls to represent teeth.
Mouth template (*Parent to cut out an oval shape out of red or pink craft board beforehand)
Home-made glue (flour and water mixture)
What to do:
Avail the pre-cut out oval mouth template
Demonstrate to your child by placing ten (10) marshmallows/cotton wool inside the mouth
Count aloud while placing the ten marshmallows/cotton wool balls inside the mouth.
Now have your child place the marshmallows/cotton wool balls and glue them down using the water and flour mixture. Count aloud while your child is placing the marshmallows/cotton wool balls and encourage him/her to count along with you.
*Counting and number recognition are skills that toddlers will learn through games, activities and play. The key to counting is learning one to one correspondence (pointing to each item and allocating it a number).
