Activity 1:
Play dough fine motor activity hide-and-seek
Duration: 15 to 20 minutes
What do you need?
- Play dough
- A small safe toys/objects (buttons/coins/beads) Supervision of play is important
What to do:
- *Caregiver is to hide small toys inside play dough beforehand.
- Tell your child that he/she needs to find what’s inside the play dough. Say: ‘its playing hide and seek’
- Make sure to show your child how to pinch and dig the items out with his/her fingers.
- Name toys/objects as they take them out
- Have your child hide the items again by instructing them to.
Activity 2
Mud play
Duration: 15 to 20 minutes
What do you need?
- Sand
- Water
- Sand toys or old kitchen tools you no longer use (pots, metal cups or plastic, spoons, jugs)
What to do:
- Provide your child with some water and sand
- Caregiver to your child how to mix the two together
- Provide them with sand toys or old kitchen tools.
- Allow them explore and just have fun.

Activity 3
Physical gross motor activity
Duration of activity: 5-10 minutes
What do you need?
- Masking tape
- A flat open space
What to do:
- Caregiver to tape lines onto a flat surface (about 30cm part)
- Demonstrate to your child to jump into each open space between the lines
- Now ask them to try. Be aware that some learners might need support as they might not be comfortable with lifting both feet off the floor at the sane time yet when jumping.
